As a result, you’re probably fired up and ready to “go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Because after all, “how then shall [your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers] believe in Him of whom they have not heard? (Romans 10:14).

First, prepare your own heart.

Prayerfully consider the learner’s motivation and purpose for attending the Bible study session with you. Are you aware of what their immediate needs and prayer points are? Are they even aware of what a Bible study is? If you’re not sure, openly communicate with them and say, “I am so excited for our Bible study on Tuesday! As I prepare, is there anything specific I can help you pray about?” The learner’s response will help point you in the right direction, especially in selecting the right Bible study for them.
Third, carefully select the most appropriate Bible study for the situation.
