morning prayers seoThe Bible is filled with commands to give thanks to God. Expressing our thanks to God is also good for us and reminds us of how blessed we are. First Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us “in every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God.”

Offer Prayers of Thanksgiving for:

  • Salvation

Thank God for the salvation and restoration He provides. Ask for boldness to share your testimony with others.

  • Today

Thank God and rejoice for the precious gift of each day. Ask Him to reveal the things in life you can let go of to allow time for what really matters.

  • Friends

Thank God for the special people He’s placed in your life—a friend who’s always there when needed or the one who makes you laugh on the darkest days. Ask Him how you can express your gratitude in a unique way to them.

  • Power over the enemy

Thank God for power over the enemy. Pray you would be mindful of the enemy’s attacks.

  • Your church

Thank God for the freedom to worship with other believers and to gather in His name. Pray blessings over your pastor and his staff.

  • His faithfulness

Thank God for the faithfulness He shows during good and bad times. Pray He would continue to faithfully see you through and encourage you to stay strong.

  • His love

Thank God today for His generous and enduring love for you. Pray He would help you love as He loves.

  • Wisdom

Thank God for His wisdom, guidance, and direction. Pray you would be sensitive to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit in your decisions, great and small.

  • His provision

Thank Him for knowing and providing all your needs. Pray to know how you can help someone else.

  • Forgiveness

Thank Him for His forgiveness and helping you to forgive others. Ask Him to search your heart for any unforgiveness you may have.

  • Peace

Thank Him for the gift of peace He gives us. Ask Him to calm your heart and mind and fill you with peace.

  • Freedom

Thank God for delivering you from sin. Ask Him to help you resist the enemy’s plan of attack to keep you from walking in victory.
