God’s Word for Life Podcast

Welcome to God’s Word for Life lesson companion podcast from Word Aflame curriculum. Jonathan McClintock encourages adult disciples to think deeply about God’s Word, to further develop their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to make a greater commitment to the purpose and plan of God for their lives.

In this podcast Jonathan explores what it means to live free from the penalty of sin.

Jesus died to free us from our sins. John 8:36 states, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Paul wrote in Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” These are but a couple of examples telling us of the freedom His death has given humanity over sin. We understand that we must have faith in Him, repent of our sins, be buried with Him in baptism, and be born again through the infilling of His Holy Spirit.

Consider the following questions as you listen to the podcast:

Are you allowing God to work in your life?

Are you letting Him finish His work in you?

What does it mean to yield to righteousness?

Does the way you are living each day reflect that you are free? Or does it still appear you are in bondage to sin? We have been made free, so let us live like we are free.

We have been made free, so let us live like we are free. Click To Tweet
