Discipleship Now | The Anointing and God’s Favor

God's Favor seoDiscipleship Now has released a new series called “The Anointing” by David Myers, a character study of David in the Old Testament. You will learn how, like David, we can position ourselves to receive anointing—God’s favor and Spirit at work in our lives in special ways.

Anointing is that intangible yet obvious expression of God’s Spirit moving in our lives—His favor. It changes what it touches and creates space for the supernatural. The anointing breaks the yoke—the weight of sin that binds and holds humanity captive. (See Isaiah 10:27.)

A study of David in the Old Testament reveals his unique relationship with God.  David was a man after the heart of God, and he was able to posture himself as a young man to be in position for the anointing of God. As humans we cannot produce the anointing, but we can position ourselves for God’s indisputable favor.

This series of lessons looks at the life of David and how he pursued God’s anointing for his life. David was not perfect, but he stayed in the flow of God’s favor. Journey with David through the stages of sacrifice, worship, service, dominion, humility, and mercy in his pursuit of God.

Release of God’s Favor

If you have ever felt the rush of spiritual adrenalin that comes from the anointing of God, you know it is an undeniable experience. God desires to anoint His people. He desires to show His hand of power through the release of His favor.  The anointing of God is not contained in a silo; it spills over. It splashes and saturates. Let the anointing of God flow through you as you study this series.
