When God calls you, it can be a frustrating process. There, I said it.
That is probably not what you expected to read when you clicked on this article, but it is true. It is frustrating because the calling of God is so real and so powerful, yet the one called is often left wondering what to do next. The passion and desire to step into that calling is there, but what to do in the meantime?
Then when you share what you are feeling from God with someone else, that person (who means well) may say things like: “Your calling will make room for itself. God has a plan; just trust Him. Everything will be done in God’s timing.” These statements are all 100-percent true, but the person who is called wonders what to do in the meantime.
When God Calls You
I wrote I Think I’m Called: What Do I Do Now? to answer some of these questions. If you feel called by God, whether you are fifteen or fifty-five, this book is for you. Although every calling may be different in its specific ministry or timing, certain foundational principles remain for every person in every calling.

I desired to be able to tell God, “Lord, I have done everything I can on my end. Now please do the things that only You can do on your end.” I never wanted to miss out on an opportunity to step into His calling upon my life because I was not personally prepared. The book is a compilation of things God dealt with me about from the time of that initial call to even yet today.
