A Book on Parenting
My Child is an intentionally short, easy read primarily for parents of young children.
Our children will be able to courageously stand athwart the culture by submitting themselves to the principles of God’s Word.
The goal is to provide the tools parents need to raise confident children who refuse to bow to the pressures of a society that has become unmoored from biblical truth. Consequently our children will be able to courageously stand athwart the culture by submitting themselves to the principles of God’s Word. The principles in this book also apply to grandparents, teachers, and anyone else who strives to come alongside parents and aid them on this holy journey of raising children.
As a young parent—as I explain in the book—I thought I had it all figured out with my first child, Philip. I read tons of books about raising children. He was a textbook baby, so I assumed he was so good because of my great parenting skills. I would offer other mothers my “wise counsel” with words such as: “You just need to put that baby on a schedule.” The Lord quickly showed me the error of my ways when my son Eric was born just fourteen months later. He was on a schedule, all right. His own. Boy, did I have a lot to learn.I am thankful for the many life lessons God has taught me through the beautiful gift of parenting. Click To Tweet
I am thankful for the many life lessons God has taught me through the beautiful gift of parenting. When we ask the Lord for wisdom, He is gracious and gives it. And sometimes He uses books like My Child.
